My Basic Rule

Before you buy a diamond it is important that you understand the four C’s which are used to classify your diamond. It can be quite daunting and complex, which is why i’ve tried to break down the steps of looking and comparing diamonds. 

Firstly once you’ve looked around and like the look of a diamond, always ask to see the certificate of the stone before buying which you will keep once you purchase. It’s important that the certificate is done by a reputable laboratory as explained below which will give the fingerprint and exact four C of that particular stone. This can then help you compare similar diamonds in other shops like for like.
